MC&F was born as an initiative to promote the development of financial and capital markets in Peru. Her pregnancy was located in an environment where the first major reforms associated with these markets had been made ; and there were no major players or typical of modern financial markets institutions, and knowledge , financial and securities market was generally weak. In this context , MC&F takes the form of an Organization Nonprofit (NGOs) -called Studies Center Capital Markets and Financial (MC&F) – and focuses its activities on the development of seminars, panel discussions and events.

Dozens of events were held covering topics such as: Market reforms , the Private Pension System , the banking system (including amendments to the legislation of the Central Reserve Bank) ; further discussions and analysis of new institutions and mechanisms in financial markets of Peru that took place in those years , such as those related to Mutual Funds , Investment Funds , Institutions Clearing and Settlement of Securities , the sorters risk , asset securitizations , the takeover bid (OPA) , implementations of the Rules of Basel, among others. MC&F , enabling a better understanding of the markets and their functioning. As a result , MC&F publishes the work “ABC Capital Market ” in 1998 .

In 2001 MC & F establishes a Corporate Governance Council comprised of respected businessmen, directors of major corporations and representatives of the securities market of Peru . and assumes leadership on this issue , which enshrines the publication of his version of the Code of Good Corporate Governance of the same year . In 2002 , MC&F is invited to form the group of entities in charge of the development of the “Principles of Good Corporate Governance for Peruvian Companies ” published that same year CONASEV -today , SMV- . MC&F has been bound to encourage improvements in the standards of good corporate governance in various companies that have required their assistance . In 2006 MC&F prepares for FONAFE the “Framework Code of Good Corporate Governance of State Enterprises ” and in 2013 prepared the draft of the current ” Code of Good Governance for Peruvian Companies”

In early 2008 , MC&F adopts the legal form holds today . Currently , Capital Markets , Investment and Finance Consultants S.A. (MC&F) . Since 2010 , MC&F began its internationalization stage by concluding strategic alliances with similar entities in different countries.
